About Adriann McCall

Adriann McCall Public Relations (AMPR)  was founded in 2000 by Adriann J. McCall, to provide public relations and marketing services for small businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations.

Adriann honed her skills in public relations, marketing/advertising, community relations and public health education outreach, by holding various positions with nonprofit organizations, government entities and other organizations. Her previous experience includes the  U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Get Screened Oakland/Office of the Mayor of Oakland, Saint Mary’s College of California, Amtrak West, AC Transit, the Bay Area Urban League, the United Way of the Bay Area, and the American Cancer Society.

Always eager to make an impact in the community, Adriann has volunteered her services to nonprofit organizations for over a decade. She served as a board member for over 10 years for the East Oakland Youth Development Center in Oakland, California, providing event planning, fundraising and nonprofit management expertise. Her work with the East Bay AIDS Walk for five years included marketing and public relations, and grant writing which resulted in a 200% increase in funding. She currently serves as the Board Chair for Get Screened Oakland, an HIV/AIDS educational outreach and testing program as part of the Office of the Mayor in Oakland.

Adriann has provided services to several organizations and entrepreneurs over her 20 years in business. Nonprofit Organizations, Professional Business Organizations, Women’s Organizations, Public Health Organizations, Authors, Accountants, Event Planners, Business Coaches, Restaurants, Caterers, Photographers, Auto Mechanic Shops, Realtors and more have  had success in increasing their visibility and revenue by using the services of AMPR. In addition, Adriann has adapted the services of AMPR over the years to meet ever changing landscape of business communication and marketing. Using online tools to provide online branding strategies, outreach to media outlets and develop social media strategies, AMPR has helped businesses to pivot to an online business format to meet their goals.

Adriann holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration (MNA) degree from the University of San Francisco. She received her Bachelor of Arts  (BA) degree in Mass Communications/Journalism with a minor in African History from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She also holds a Public Relations Management Certificate from New York University.

She is passionate about the art of writing. She also enjoys reading, organizing her life in planners and reviewing subscription boxes.
